I can’t say we’ve really been busy… both Gary’s and my businesses are quiet at this time of year. However, while the temperatures have been bitter, we don’t mind just keeping the home fires burning. Today it was MUCH warmer.. about -15 Celcius, which felt balmy.

On Tuesday the electrician installed the pot lights, fan and switches, and today the tiles got started. Friends came to help… more accurately, we helped a great couple who did most of the work. Tomorrow the bathroom floor will get tiled; there is less square footage on the floor than the area of the tub surround. Also, the floor tiles are all 12.5 X 12.5… whereas the tub tiles were 2″ squares (plus we added a detail of bigger tile), making the tub project more finicky.

That’s about all we’ve been up to! Keeping warm, working on the bathroom, doing a little paying work, getting ready for Christmas, watching TV… that’s it. I can’t get in the Christmas spirit for some reason, but certainly look forward to spending some time with family and friends. We will have some extra pets for guests over the Season.
