Here are the boarding birdies. They share a cage and clearly adore each other. The cockatiel is Shamus and the budgie, Toohey.

It’s quiet around here, which is fine. Even the boarding dogs all seem content until they spot a deer on the hill or a cat walks by the kennels. I’ve been outside for all the usual chores and petting and playing, and now it’s siesta time.

The weather is changing… yesterday seemed like spring and I worked outside quite a bit, tidying the greenhouse and the yard. As well, I took my Dremel tool to some rock chips on my truck and then daubed paint on the spots to prevent rust. Today the weather sucks: there’s a bitterly cold wind and there are a few snowflakes in the air!

Baked Gary a little cake for “Easter dinner” and am just generally relaxing. We didn’t make any big plans. It’s my sister’s birthday, and I phoned to wish her a Happy one. I phoned Myrtle too, and found her feeling completely miserable due to a variety of symptoms; what a worry this is, and I will try to make plans to get there.

Might talk to you good folks later. Love, ~ Ann
