Fresh Spring day…

This blog was unavailable for a whole day after I composed the following. That was caused by a server error of some sort, to my chagrin. I had hit “Publish” instead of saving to draft, resulting in an incomplete “post”. I think I’ll start again today with a NEW post rather than patch this one up.

Am having a slow start to the day; it’s just as grey as can be outside. But HELLOOOO it hasn’t been freezing at night! Almost every bit of our snow has gone, although we have friends on a farm near us who still have a foot or two. We can just do our raking and cleaning up sooner.

We had a pleasant Easter/Passover weekend. Last night we ate turkey, stuffing and gravy, challah, yams, and for dessert, homemade vanilla ice cream. I didn’t bother with salad or spanakopita or any other “green stuff” as I do when we have company for a meal. Some of those foods upset Gary’s system too much anyway.

I think we made new friends with the folks who own the doberman, “Onyx”. He adjusted well to being with us and seemed to enjoy his canine neighbours, and he had good manners on a leash. When I trimmed his toenails (at the owners’ request) he showed no objection.

We still have dogs Shadow, Seiko, Shiloh, Sophie, Makalu, Shiloh, Pritchard, Murphy, and cats Pontoufel, Chiquita and Muffin. Of course we have the hamster Hammy as well.
